Our Story

Crossing the Gain Line started 4 years ago from the the work done by the Yangon Dragon RFC in creating its Little Dragons program. This was a group of volunteers who coached and taught a group of underprivileged young people rugby in South Dagon, Yangon. When Crossing the Gain Line inherited this group of young people it extended it’s reach beyond the South Dagon to other areas of Yangon and beyond. Crossing the Gain Line looks to advance sporting development of disadvantaged young people in Myanmar in order to keep them active and learn valuable transferable skills to prepare them for the world of work and adulthood. This is done by providing regular coaching sessions & tournaments. We look to provide training, support and opportunities for young disadvantaged people in Myanmar to learn how to coach a sport and develop sporting teams. And finally we provide extra educational lessons to young people primarily in the subjects of critical thinking & problem solving, first aid, fire safety, health and computer skills. The primary sport we use for these programs is rugby union.
